The mold heated up to 110 °C will have the purpose of drying the thermal insulation and hardening it, while giving it a semicircular shape.
The production cycle can last up to 50 minutes for each single panel and the press has therefore been equipped with a blocking valve to maintain a constant level of hydraulic pressure throughout the pressing cycle.
The press frame was painted with a paint capable of resisting high temperatures and special urethane gaskets were also mounted to absorb the steam that is created when the heated mold comes into contact with the wet material.
The two-column hydraulic press for thermal insulation develops a power of 100 tons and is equipped with a 500mm cylinder.
The distance between the sliding upper table and the fixed one is 1000mm, while the working height is 700mm.
All work programs are controlled by a 12″ Siemens touchscreen display.
